Carry All

Add a hydraulic top link and lower the pins on the carryall to make it a dump carryall.
Great idea. I need to get a hydraulic top link on my tractor.

If you want to slide under a pre stacked pallet of hay what /pine said is true - forks are better. Did you consider a pair of clamp on forks for your bucket ? Same money as a carry-all.

I did. The issue is hook up. When my back is out I can't lift more than a few pounds without causing more issues. So the forks would be a no go at that point. I can, however, hook up implements with the quick hitch on the 3 point.

The hay is small squares so currently stacked in a way that I cannot just pull under a pallet and move it.

If I am not having back issues what I do is put three long ways on the bucket, then two the other way on top of that and the one long way on top of the stack. My wife cannot stack them that high on the bucket.

However if we had a pallet on the ground she could stack them a couple three rows high. I could then use the tractor to lift that pallet and move it from storage to the stall barn to feed the horses.

I am also thinking then the ability to move pallets around with other stuff on them will save me some time and labor with other random tasks and I am sure stuff I have not thought of at all yet.

I do not have an SSQA set up or I would just by forks and be done with it.

A set of 3 point hitch forks that was quick hitch compatible would work probably even better. I could always throw a piece of plywood over a pallet if I needed something with a solid platform base for any reason.

Off to play with google.

Being you're limited to weight, this probably won't work for you, but maybe others can get some ideas, if they want to build their own. It has a multitude of uses, from easily hauling 8 bales of hay, to cleaning horse stalls, and dumping on a pile, picking rocks up out of a field, and dumping in a wash, with out leaving the tractor. Hauls a good bit of firewood, and I can stock a good sized pile making several rounds, dumping in a pile, to be stacked later. I even used it for weight on the back of the old Massey 180, using it as a roller to roll the fill for the horse barn, and shop. I just backed my dump truck up to it, and dumped a load of fill material on it. What stayed on was my weight. When I was finished, I simply hit the hydraulic remote to dump it.

It's definitely earned it's keep around here, and sure has saved a lot of work, and time.

I used the TSC CountyLine carry all frame. You might get some useful ideas from the one I built. Here are a few pics:
