I'm trying to find a stump bucket available for purchase, but the only one that turns up is the titan one, which seems to be out of stock. Everything else I see is SSQA. Is it simple to convert from SSQA to JDQA? I see there's an adapter plate but it seems that this will cost me some power.

Yes, but that's double the price of the Titan one. I was hoping there would be some other cheaper equivalents! But perhaps my main question is in relation to converting/using a SSQA bucket with JDQA ($675 + $200 shipping)

I recently purchased a 36" Stump Bucket for my Kubota L3560.

The tractor hydraulics lacked enough power to withdraw the SB from the ground unless exactly via the insertion path. ( 1,775 pounds FEL lift spec. at the pins.)

I feel confident saying your JD 3032e will not be able to handle a Stump Bucket.

Here is what I bought, then soon sold to a Skid Steer owner:

I have had a lot of experience with the Ratchet Rake bucket attachment and a Bucket Solutions' Bucket Spade which led me to believe the SB would work on my Grand L Kubota, but I was sadly mistaken.

Note: we are both working Florida soil.

I'd be mainly using it as a shovel though. Would be loosening the dirt via a subsoiler attachment in the back, and digging it out via the stump bucket in the front. I don't expect to be able to dig in undisturbed ground and get a chunk of dirt. I've also seen "clamp-on" shovels, but those are perhaps too small.

Based on my experience I recommend the Bucket Spade.

You work hard for your money. You should spend your money the way you wish.

Are there bigger bucket spades for that?

The three volume Bucket Spades are from Titan, Paumco and Bucket Solutions.

The BS/BS is forged and the heaviest of the three.

The Titan and Paumco are pressed steel and/or welded. Unquestionably, the BS/BS is the heaviest and highest quality with very secure attachment to the FEL bucket. BS/BS will tax your Deere PLENTY.

Keep in mind you will need at least 650 pounds of Three Point Hitch counterbalance in order to excavate with a BS.

Jeff, thank you very much for all the info! I will sift through it soon!

I'm wondering if to respond to the other thread which seems to be relatively new; but I'm seeing that perhaps something that mounts on pallet forks would be helpful as well, especially if I need to engage at a distance of some sort? In my case I'm trying to dig through muck/mud, so the more distance between the tractor and the mud, the more I can get done, since I can only get so close before getting stuck. Of course that's not my only application, but is the first to come to mind.

THIS THREAD? "Re: Drive-in style bucket forks"

I believe I have more experience with a Bucket Spade than any other current T-B-N contributor.

1) Most Bucket Spades will excavate a hole 3' diameter x 3' deep directly mounted on the FEL bucket.
With Bucket Solutions (brand) Bucket Spade it is not difficult to dig 4' deep but hole diameter may be the width of your bucket.

2) No Bucket Spade on a tractor is going to move tree with an 8" trunk nor grape vines.
(I spent my working years in the California wine business, working for wineries which owned substantial vineyards.)

To move >3" trees an SSQA Tree Spade mounted on a Skid Steer or 6,000 pound bare weight tractor with an FEL is necessary. You cannot transplant established grape vines, they will die.

3) A Bucket Spade mounted on Pallet Forks over 30" has too much leverage, proportional to fork length, working against limited compact tractor hydraulic power, especially relative to spade support strength of a light FEL bucket.

Most, not all, Bucket Spades are designed for direct FEL bucket mounting on tractors and potential Pallet Fork mounting ON SKID STEERS.

The tool you need for this work is an excavator, not a tractor.

Much longer reach arm. 360 degree bucket swing.

On tracks, much more stable.

On tracks, much more float on swampy ground.

Sunbelt rents excavators and will have an equipment lot somewhere around Orlando.

This is what I bought. #23 Spade Grapple | MS Attachments The grapple works well, it allows you to back up and use the pulling power of the tractor to rip out the stump rather than depending on the loader break out force.
Their attachments are built on site. According to what I read here Tractors | MS Attachments they are willing to make you a JD QA one.
They do offer other stump buckets W/O grapples on their web site.
