Tomorrow Ill get a few better shots. I spent the day working with my 12 year old grandson, We cut a bucket load , an stacked some fire wood for my shop, then we planed some lumber for his scout troop project(I am helping instruct a few for a merit badge).
Here is a shot of the ongoing project,The old 1500 lb. winch was working hard ,so I went with a 3000lb. An added a pulley as was discussed here a while ago. I haven't installed the new one , but feel its going on right path.

nice lookin logs, is that red pine or ceder or ??? I like your setup. I put a small roof over just the power head of my mill so I could load with a mini ex without worrying about hitting the roof. With all the rain we've been getting year after year I may have to redesign.

Its lob lolly pine. The roof came to pass after I realized i couldn't turn the "cant".So a lifting beam seemed to be the answer, then covering everything for my protection as well as the mill.

If you keep starting side project like that shed you will never finish that trailer. :D

That looks really good. Did you mill all the wood for it or just the beams? I assume you will have space under there to store some of the lumber that you produce.
Quite a build.

edit: I just noticed the size of the growth ring on the 3x10's. That is some FAST growing tree you have there.

Nice looking trailer!
I know this is a couple of months old but how is the trailer working out?
How slow is it with all those pulleys?
I am contemplating doing something similar , I am building a 5'-8" x 10' dump trailer. I have an industrial 8500pound worm gear drive Ramsey winch I was thinking about using. I think with the winch I have and the proper engineering I can make it work without a set of pulleys, If I need to do pullys i will.
thanks,
dave

Sorr to say it did not work, after redoing the pulleys an winch it was like watching paint dry(the up& down)
Soooooooooo I am going to operate the sizzors with the help of a cylinder an pump I got off a "Tommy lift"
I have been busy with a reunion for my Infantry company from nam. Also sawed 6x8s 3x10 an2x4s,an built a roof for the back poach(16x36ft)

Oh well, at least it worked! LOL
I kind of figured it would have been slow but hey, we're not engineers :)
What brand of pump is on the tommy lift?
I just picked a power unit from a tailgate lift, it's a Maxon but the tank is rusted out. I'm not sure if I want to buy a tank (if I even can) or try and fix this one or just buy a new complete unit.
Have fun at the reunion and Thank You for your service

The reunion is always the week following memorial day,(we pay homage an have a really neat candle lighting for the 44 we lost in combat 66-67)
That tank has no pressure so any fix will work. maybe lay up some fiberglass cloth an mat?
Mine has water mixed in oil from sitting out. I hope it still works.

I'd suggest you try fixing the tank. If you can't you're not out much.

funny you should say that, lol, I actualy fixed it this afternoon. Took my plasma cutter and cut the bottom right out of it and cut a new piece and welded it all in. It holds water with no leaks so now I have to clean it up and paint it.

Fix it up. Wear it out. Make it do, or do without.

well it turns out the motor on the pump is no good so I will probably just order a new one, I found some kits online and the shipping is reasonable.
Anyone want a pump?
