BX2200 steering giving me problems

Ive been wanting to buy a sub-compact tractor for years.. I finally saved up the $$$$ and bought a 2005 with a 60"mmm and a 211 loader. It has 213 hrs and the power steering is giving me crap. It will not turn to the right sometimes if u turn the wheel slowly.. Turn it fast and its fine. Turning left is always fine.. Also some times then i first start it these no steering at all for a few seconds ( like at all) I changed the tranny filter and it hasent done it sence.... I paid 6000 for the tractor and hope i didnt get the "shaft"..

I looked into this and it seems to be the front steering cly seal having damage and bypassing fluid? If this is so could i tear it down and put a new o-ring in the thing? Have these ever been recalled?
They sure need to....

What you are describing sounds like failed o-rings in the steering cylinder. Has been a frequent topic on BX's. You can rebuild the steering ram yourself, apparently the internal C-clips holding the thing together (on the ends) is the trickiest part.

Use the search function for "BX steering" and you will find plenty of info.

Just in case...make sure your three point hitch lever isn't in the "up" position. It should be in the center. If it is stuck in up the steering and loader functions get wacky.
