BX1850 tractor cab

I just recently finished building a cab for my bx to be used for snow blowing. It is easily removed with 10 bolts. It is a 3 sides cab, but I could close it all in totally if I choose to. I am looking more for protection from the snow blowing back on me than for being able to heat it, although I may need to.
I tried to keep costs down, so I used some things I had around, but I had to buy most of it. It is constructed of 3/4'' plywood and plexi glass, with the glass held in with some gasket material I found on the internet. The gasket was probably the most expensive component, and the hardest part of the build, but it gave me the result I was looking for. I also used a piece of pvc coated commercial rubber roofing on the lid, custom mixed paint from the auto parts store, and I used some marine hinges on the door. I hinged the door on the sloped side so that it closes itself; it seems to work good that way, but I will find out this winter.
I'm wondering if I will have much of a fogging problem with it being 3-sided and having no heater. I store it in an unheated garage, and live in NH. I'd love to hear some thoughts on that. I don't know if any members have experience using the small 12 volt defroster units that can plug into a lighter type receptacle; not sure if they are effective.

With the one side being open and the cool/cold air allowed in I do not believe fogging will be an issue. Just to let you know you did a FANTASTIC job on building the cab. EXCELLENT!!!!!!

Hey, that looks good. I'm gonna say go ahead and close in the back and add a heater box. Once you've blown snow in your underwear........ you'll never go back to that snowmobile suit !! :thumbsup:
