bx1830 questions

Hi all,
I am now interested in a bx1830 at my local dealer. He sold his last bx1500, but the 1830 is probably a bit nicer. I can get it out the door for 13,700 including rear mower, fel, and box blade.

I kinda need a hoe at least for a few projects, the dealer said some of his customers dig with the fel for drains. Is this sales talk or can you really cut drain with a fel on a machine like this. I need to go down 12-18", but not wider than 12" - doesn't seem likely to me.

That quoted price was 13,000 OTD - that's with a 700 rebate.

Don't know where you are but thats $1500 too high to pay at least.

I agree with Bob. That's too much money for that setup. I bought my BX2230 for about that.

I only paid 12,000 for my set up. At 13,000 for an old model if you lived in a big metropolitan city is the only way I'd see that price. Are you sure you understand the costs the dealer has you quoted for.

Shop around to at least 3 dealers for quotes and compare. Don't sign anything yet.

Then forget about both the 1500 and 1830 neither of them come with a Back hoe Available. Get a Bx23 , the BH comes standard on it. </font> I only gave 1800 bucks more for mine than the 13700 you're talk about for the 1830.
