Why doesn't Kubota make a cover for the mid PTO? I assume the cover for the PTO is to keep it clean as well as keep others safe. I checked with my dealer to find out if they forgot to send it or if it even existed, but they told me it didn't.

I am kinda dissapointed as I would like to cover while doing FEL or especially when I plow my garden.

Does anyone do anything special to keep it covered or do you clean it each time it gets dirty and then re-grease?

Thanks in advance for any words of wisdom.....

I noted the same thing on my B7500. When I asked the service manager at my dealership, he said that he felt the same way, but I was probably only the second buyer who had ever asked. It seems to me that it is very vulnerable, and given the lower ground clearance of the BX vs. the 7500, yours would be more so.

I have been considering some sort of a skip plate. Unfortunately, I don't see any likely mounting points nearby, and there is no flange available around it as there is on the rear PTO. I'm starting to lean towards a full belly plate, to protect all of the various vulnerable looking bits down there. On that vein, there was a thread on someone's experience building a skid plate on a BX...
