My Dad has purchased a new 2350 for mowing but it came without a grill guard, and the only one that's available is a plain orange one.I'm looking for one from a BX23.It's the chrome looking one with the "BX" engraved in it.Could I get some help locating one of these? I need a place and a phone #. My local dealers said they cannot locate one.
Thanks, Donny from GA.

The BX 24 grille gaurd part number is K2592-21250 and the retail price is 140.53 for it. That price doesn't include shipping on the grille gaurd.

My dealer was able to order the "fancy" grill guard for me when I purchased my BX1850. At first he had trouble locating it in his parts book, but finally found it under the BX24 section. The toal price with shipping and tax was $153.00.

I looked at grill guards when I bought my BX 1800 in 2003, but it looked like there was no way to attach the front mounted snow blower in the fall without removing it...am I right. I always need to move the cowling forward (I suppose for ease of access than anything) to give me any access to change my oil filter during oil change...which I do a lot? I haven't actually seen a BX 1800 with a grill guard on, but am wondering if what I'm seeing in brochure pictures is correct and would I have to be constantly mounting and removing the guard for my attachments and maintenance? I find the mounting of the grill guard of the BX24 annoying and hope to modify it with a quick disconnect to easily remove and replace or a pivot to move it out of the way when I need to remove the cowling. It probably won't give it serious thought until the 50 hour service comes up. Rigging a steering linkage guard will probably come first, since I'm spending a lot of time in the woods clearing a trail and I'm more concerned about damage than convenience.

One is listed on eBay, don't know if it's the same as the Kubota one or just similar design. Do an eBay search on Kubota BX23. I have no connection with this item.

Blackbird BX,

So, I'm not just crazy...it really does pretty much require the removal, or at least sliding forward of the cowl, to get to the oil filter and any other major component? It's not as though it's too much trouble, but just enough that I plan around the changes when mounting the blower assembly or mower deck, etc. John
