Contemplating an 06 BX2350 and was looking for any negative issues that are connected with that model. Thanks

I have a BX24 and the only negative thing about the BX line and I believe any SCUT is the hydro cooling fan. It is easily damaged in offroad use if an aftermarket skidplate isnt used. Otherwise they are great machines.

There is an old thread on abrupt stops when taking your foot off the HST pedal. I believe JOHNTHOMAS traded his in because of it.

I have had one for about 3 years. The abrut stop is an issue for some, it never really bothers me. My HST pedal is also a little sticky when the tractor is cold. The plastic hood, engine side covers and rear fenders has not been a problem for me, except where the engine side covers fits the cowl area under the steering wheel area. One of the tabs on mine has broken, and it doesn't fit all the great. It didn't fit all that great when new. I put a Kubota guard on mine to help protect the HST fan.

So far I would give my BX a 9.5 out of 10. No major problems and it does more work than I ever would have guessed. If you get a front end loader, it is amazing what you can do with the little beast.

I agree- 50 series has abrupt stop issue and plastic fenders and recall on floorboard . Other then that- no negative issues.

Thanks for the replys.

I did go look at the machine and started and ran it for a while, everything was good so I'll pick it up Friday. I didnt have any problem with the abrupt stopping. Kind of eased off before stopping and it was fine, also did some of the pull my foot off just to see how quick it does stop and it wasnt anything I didnt expect. Anyways it makes it nice to know that if I need to stop quickly it will.

Fenders have been replaced and has the under step brackets that were added to protect against future cracking.

I have hillside property and the backing up and abrupt stop was to much for me especially knowing it's not the way a Kubota should do. I also could ease off the reverse and it did OK but when actually mowing and having to do the ease off wasn't practical for me and it became a real pain in the butt. The plastic hood was not an issue for me even though it didn't fit very good. The seat cutoff switch was a big problem for my wife when she drove/used it one time and it sputtered all the way down the hill. I had to keep leaned back when I drove it down the hill. Otherwise it was a fine running and cutting BX that I'd never buy again unless I had flat land that didn't require backing up very much. It stayed with me a very short time as did an L3240 Grand HST which was a great tractor but to big for my needs. I've had 5 BX's so I know Kubota can do better than the 50 series. My neighbor has a BX2350 and doesn't seem to bother him but it's only his 2nd BX and he hasn't tried the others. I think his other one was a BX18?? it may have been a 50 series also.

Something I have got in the habit of doing with mine, and it was suggested by someone else on this board, is use the top of your foot, on the forward pedal, to back up. You just slide your foot under the forward pedal and lift up, and this will back you up. This help minimizes the abrut reverse issue.

JohnThomas, I could see the issue with hilly property and backing alot but I'm pretty much flat all around the house and rolling prairie in the pasture so I think I'll be alright.

I'm just ready for Friday to get here so I can go pick it up:)

I traded into my 2350 back in April. So far I'm very happy. It was new when I got it and has about 28 hours now. I have the 60" mmm and love how well it cuts my 2 acres. I have a Grand L for the rest of the property.

Yeah the abrupt back up stop can be a nuisance but just be aware and its not a real issue. ( I'm on all flat ground too) It is much smoother and quieter than my 2230 was that it replaced.

enjoy yours and post a few pics when it arrives.

:D
