Asking for a quote on a T25 as we speak. (y)
Ask for the cash price, the 0% finance price, and the price with the dealer's conventional financing. You may be able to get lower payments with the dealer's conventional financing or cash price & financing from another source, like the credit union or farm credit organization. Conventional financing usually requires a down payment. The bottom line is the total amount you will have to pay, principal and interest.

So the T25 comes in at 18,900 at 3.99% financing. Which puts it right in line with the Kioti, almost down to the dollar.

The Kioti still has about 500-600 pounds of additional weight and a couple inches of ground clearance. The T25 has a 3 range transmission, which honestly wouldn't really do a whole lot for me other than getting from one side of the property to the other a bit quicker. A 2 range would suit my needs fine.

Scratch that, its the LS MT225s that has the 3 range.

Have you given any thought to going up a frame size? I know you mentioned looking at the TYM 2515h and finding it a bit too large, but that machine is the largest in it's class, physically.

The other large frame, hydrostatic, 25 horsepower machines are a little smaller, and a little lighter. These include the Kioti CK2620, LS MT225EH, Mahindra 1626, Massey Ferguson 1825E, Kubota L2502, and John Deere 3025E. There's also the Bobcat CT2025, New Holland Workmaster 25, and Bad Boy 4025, but they're the equivalent Kioti, LS, and TYM under a different brand, respectively.

If you can find them there's also the previous generation Kioti CK2610, and Kubota L2501.

You may be surprised what these machines offer for their size.

As for the backhoe attachment. I personally dont think its worth it. You can rent a mini and get twice the work done compared to a backhoe attachment. I come from the operating background where I run excavators, dozers, skid steers, backhoes and of course my tractor. Along with growing up on a farm. Backhoe attachments on small tractors just aren't efficient and pretty expensive compared to just renting something and getting it done. I typically rent one about once every three years for tasks I save up on my property.

You may have just explained the key difference in whether a hoe makes sense to a tractor guy.
We've all probably noticed that here on TBN there is a sharp dividing line between the people who seem to need a backhoe handy and those who prefer to just rent one when they need it.

I'm admit to being one of those who needs a backhoe handy - though it is mostly used for craning rather than digging. We don't have much digging work except a few months in the spring for replacing trees, and again in the fall. Like I said, the hoe is mostly for picking and placing heavy things.

But I honestly cannot save up tractor tasks. I admire those who can. I not only can't, I wouldn't know where or how to start to not do a task. It makes no sense, because I can save lots of things no problem: short pieces of lumber, odd size nuts and bolts, maintenance that involves crawling under things, and half worn out tires, old tools, even pocket change or half empty cans of oil.....all those I save easily without a second thought.

But I cannot seem to save up tractor tasks. Maybe there is help available...no, scratch that. I'd rather put a thumb on my spare backhoe.

My backhoe was $4,800. Well worth the price and its paid for its self in less than 3 months. No its not a mini or a skid steer but it sure beats a shovel. Ive dug out some knarly stumps with it

We had a customer who purchased two Mahindras. First one was a 5155 with a hoe. He found it rather exasperating working in the woods with it.
So he came down and said "I'd like another tractor". I told him we'd give him what he paid for his 5155 on a trade as it was only 3 months old.
Then he said "no, I want another one w/o the hoe". He didn't feature taking the hoe on and off. Imagine me telling a customer he was crazy for getting another tractor when he could trade in his first machine and even offering to take back just the hoe at least. I told him he could rent a mini for the once in two years he wanted to clear his drainage ditch.
Nope. He insisted on another tractor as he wanted the hoe for whenever he wanted a tractor with a hoe. He purchased a new 5145 and to this day, I call him "crazy man" and he just laughs.
After that he purchased two chainsaws, a 7000 watt Honda generator, a man cage, a grapple and a Lane shark cutter.
He must like being called "crazy". He stated that his wife calls him that all the time and that he felt I made an honest assessment of his condition. He said he appreciated the honesty and likes dealing with an honest dealership.
I wonder if I should start calling more guys names especially if the wife is there.

The only thing keeping some of us from being this kind of crazy is the inability to afford it. 🤣🤣

Well, I've eliminated the LS MT225s.

We're down to the T25 or the CX2510.

Thanks to everyone for pushing me towards the T25, not really sure why I had the T264 stuck in my head.
