Bummed Beaver

/ Bummed Beaver #11
I have a Beaver which has an optional gear box with a standard size PTO to change the rotation to Clock Wise. Evidently, they came with the smaller splined PTO when new. Your best option would be to try to find a gear box to make the change, but they probably are very scarce. Good luck with this!

Think of this... Most all of the brush hog gear boxes are (I wasn't paying attention is it right turn?) so the teeth on the gears are worn on one side only. If you find a used one and reverse the blades or fabricate your own new blades to work backwards on it you'll have brand new surface on your gears. It'll be a brand new mower at a 10 year old price. Am I right?

I have a woods rm 48 with the small pto shaft for a beaver and its setup to run counter clockwise. if you can use a finish mower and are close to pittsburgh pa make me an offer. It works fine, could use some TLC but Ive used it the past 2 seasons.
