We have a pair of guinea hens, they roost up there at night.

About $300 for the frame (labor and materials), the spears and sleeves were $165, about $20 for the little collars used as pin bushings.

Price quotes for building the frame were all over the place, up to $1000 :0 that guy asked if I wanted them to paint it, I said for that price they should chrome it.

The final product, we have some neighbors interested in some round bales, so hopefully I will put it to work this weekend.

Hi Russel, I am using 49” CONUS 1 spears. They sell a CONUS 3, apparently that one is if you want to pick up the whole hay barn

I hear you. More than my tractor can handle for sure...
I was mainly asking to make sure I didn't get too short of spears.

Have you had any issues with stabbing tight bales in not getting to the base of your attachment?

Looks nice. Might want to eventually weld a plate to close the top ends. Won't be nice when you come out to get some hay and you have a wasp nest in there!
