Great job. I would never have even considered trying to build one of those. I guess I am too spoiled by my local Ag suppy places. Those are usually available here for about $20-30 and sometimes cheaper when on sale. With the price is steel around here, I would have cost me more than that in material alone to build it myself.

It looks similar to an old bmw screw jack. I was looking at the design because I have seen people use them to make bee hive lifts.

same here... I saw it and thought... i can get a HF trailer jack (the same thing) for less then the price of the steel it would take to build my own.
