bucket position when parking

Always when I park outside I leave the bucket level and put it to the ground. I've found now on my Kubuta that if I happen to be parking up hill and it rains it fills with water.
On my JD it had holes in the bottom so this didn't happen.

I've noticed a few people park them with the buckets almost in the full tilted position. I don't know why but I always thought this would put more stress on something because the entire weight of the FEL would be on the edge of the box rather than the entire bottom surface.

Is it okay to park it with them pointed down?

Yes, and actually it's a very good idea if parking on a slope.

When I park outside, I put the bucket in dump on the ground. Once the engine is shut down, I'll jiggle the loader stick. What ever position the bucket is it after that (normally down, but not full dump) is where it stays.
No stress on the loader.

Me too. I figure less stress is better.

If I were parking and extending my cylinders, for a long period of time, I would coat the shafts with grease to prevent corrosion. Ken Sweet

I leave mine in full curl; no particular reason. My sons park in dump; no particular reason.

Ken, is white lithium grease ok for this? Or fluid film?

White lithium grease seems would be fine. Outside storage and exposed to the elements, I would use the grease type Lube and inside, the Fluid Film works very well. Ken Sweet

When the bucket is on grass I park with edge vertical down. A hot bucket, or longterm shade kills grass.
