This guy used a piece of pipe on the edge of his bucket to skim the surface
and not dig up his driveway

Pretty cool and it also saves grinding damage to the edge of the bucket.

I tried the pipe routine and failed ...... Then I went with a snow edge with no regrets. This year is the fifth season and the wear edge isn't near half worn yet.

Are we talking about 2 different goals?
The pipe is to not dig - plow up a gravel driveway.
Sarg's rig appears to be a "soft edge" to not scratch an asphalt, concrete or brick/paver driveway. 👍

I see were someone else has used a PVC pipe
inplace of the metal pipe

These would keep your bucket from digging in

I did some wingy things for a bucket and a blower in the past. Worked OK but gave them up after mounting an 8' power angle blade on the L4240.

Saw a couple clips on YouTube. No experience with them. They put the blade pretty far out in front.

These are cheap Chinese knockoffs of R2 Manufacturing's EdgeTamers; EdgeTamers are great, but I hate to see the damn communists stealing American products and under-cutting them at every turn.

The pipe edge works great for gravel driveways, I know a few who have done that. On our asphalt driveway, I just mount a piece of Trex decking to the bucket edge for snow season.

I bought the Vevor on clearance, $39. The clamp on bolt was too thin, not hardened, and bent like a cheap folding table. I contacted Vevor, they gave me $20 back. I bought grade 8, 5/8" bolts for $10 shipped, tapped the ski, welded grade 8 nuts to ski, and it is now what it should have been. I only use until gravel driveway freezes up solid. I have EA toothbar on, and use that to dig into snow/ice when it gets built up on driveway.
I forgot what cheap crap Vevor makes. 2nd time for me...
But they do make it right, or at least acceptable.

Bought 3 edge tamers for my 72 inch LS front loader bucket about 3 years ago , don’t use them a lot but when I do use them they work great, I highly recommend them. The one bolt mounting system is great, very quick and easy to mount or remove with a 3/4 inch ratchet !
