You'll get a lot of use out of those hooks, keep some chain handy.

Nice hardware - socket head cap screws.
Here is a pic of the hooks I attached from the local surplus shop.

good idea with the plate on the backside. much better than washers. i was lucky in that there was a huge reinforced plate on the top of my bucket. i used hardened washers on the inside, nylocks, and grade bolts.

What did they cost ... like $6.95 each!!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif .. Scozz

was wondering? as long as the reenforcing plates were already welded on, why did you not just weld the hooks on? that seems like a lot of steel to drill through /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

good question, i never really thought off welding them on. 1/4 stub for a pilot and a 1/2 stub for the holes and i was through in just a minute or so. i have a milwaukee magnum 1/2 inch drill.

Nice looking job Mr Dark.I have slip hooks on both ends and a grab in the middle. You will find the very useful.

SAME DRILL I HAVE! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif does make for a nice easy drill job.

Frank my Milwaukee drill is at my feet in pieces. Stripped several gears and found out today they are now obsolete. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I'm thinking of buying another new Milwaukee, since it was such a good tool. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

My Milwaukee Magnum must be 30 years old and stll strong. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif It sure makes me sad to see Milwaukee put all effort into cordless tools that last much less /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif and have $70 batteries instead of really durable tools.

They sure did wrong when they changed from the old style circular saw to the new "tilt lock" model. Piece of junk compared to the old.

I need to buy some of the old stuff off ebay /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif while it still exists.
