I found this grapple on CL for $1000. Says it brand new that he gets from a friend that manages a shop. It has the Tomahawk name on the guard.

Does anybody have any experience with bucket instead of a brush grapple. It looks like it would be good for manure and hay removal. But I'm wanting to use it to separate some big brush piles into smaller more manageable piles.

Also is the namebrand reputable. I guess the price is a steal. The tractor I want to use it on is a 55 hp NH. I know it's been sitting on CL for awhile.

Walkin Horse, I don't want to sound negative, but I can't see the point of that. You can get a 'The Thumb' grapple to attach to an existing bucket for less than half that.

Manure shouldn't benefit from that two-tine grapple, and brush won't work well with the bucket.

Save your $1,000 and keep looking.

You can also get a real grapple off eBay or other online sources for around $1000 or slightly more.

I keep seeing prices of 1500 and up on the internet. I guess I will have to keep saving a little more. I was surprised at the price of the ones that weld on top of the bucket. They are at like $1800 or more.

I was kind of hesitant about this style with the bucket. I have a 4 in 1 on my backhoe and it does ok for brush, but it's hard to keep the dirt out.

It looks like that thing will pick up a lot of dirt along with your brush pile. I don't know about your burnpile but mine doesn't like a lot of dirt dumped in on top of the fire.

The bucket grapple that I have used was flat on bottom but was done with tines it was not curved as I call them a root rake grapple I don't think I would like the solid bottom as was said would not let dirt fall out. and if moving manure what would you need a grapple for just use bucket.

That is more for demolition clean up of buildings and the like, works good for scooping blocks, bricks, and debris off of concrete pads. I would look at titan or others. LUTT
