Brush Hog

I second the Brown Manufacturing recommendation as well. The 400 series are very tough, the 600 series are bombproof.

The Brown 416 would be comparable to the Woods Brushbull 720, just be careful because Woods also makes the BB72 which is a light duty piece of junk. Most manufacturers make light, medium, heavy duty like Woods, Landpride, Bush Hog, Rhino etc.
You don’t have to worry about this with Brown, they ONLY make tough high quality equipment.

Be aware that “heavy” duty to one manufacturer doesn’t compare to heavy duty to another, so check the weights, steel thickness, gear boxes, and reviews.

There was a long time there when Woods had notorious issues with paint peeling for instance, but it was purely cosmetic, unlike the well documented issues of the Deere cutters.

This is an old invalid point at this time, but I also liked that although Brown now uses foreign made gearboxes, they were at least the last manufacturer to hold onto using gear boxes made in America. My 472 has an American made gearbox.

I have the predecessor to the 416, the 472, about 22 years old now.
