The old 8n rim was so far gone I decided to replace it rather than try and retain the original. Since my tractor is not something owned for the purpose of being used in shows and I need function over form. I ordered a pair of new more or less universal rims to mount on the center disks.

Oh for sure: the bigger the tire, the easier they are to change!

NOW you tell me!!!

I've only had to do it a couple times (4) but I have always used the hoe to crane the tractor tires to/from truck bed (and take to shop)

I put stabilizers down on backhoe until tire is just touching ground, take tire off, roll to side then crane it to the truck using backhoe.

Craning these things back onto respective machine takes a slow deft touch from me so I don't slam the tire into the machine.

Now, as for my riding mower? I wrestled and cussed two of those tires off/back on and it seems they took me half a day!
