I'm looking to get a box scraper for my John Deere, 5205. Anyone have any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

A late model 5205 utility tractor? I have a 5105 and I've been in the market for a bb myself. I'm looking most closely at a Woods medium duty 84". My 5105 with 16.9 rear tires seems to be about 78" wide, so a 72" box blade really won't work well. Power should not be an issue for an 84" in most uses. You might even be able to use a 96". I would look at medium duty models intended for tractors in the 40-70hp range.

Depending on what you want to do, the soil, number and size of rocks and roots you may want to get either medium duty, heavy duty or industrial.

Medium duty is about 125# per foot of width, heavy duty is about 150# per and industrial is over 150. No, these aren't some spec, just my rule of thumb to quick check. With the power of the tractor, a good target weight is 150# per foot, anything less and you may bend it up.

Go to woodsonline.com and visit the industrial scrappers. They will be the top of the line standard.
