Boomer PTO continually disengages.

Hi,

I'm new to this Forum, but I was interested to see that other Forum contributors had experienced problems with their New Holland Boomer tractors.

My Boomer is a little over 12 months old, but has only done 50-odd hours. It always had a tendency to automatically disengage the PTO, particularly after mowing for an hour or so. Initially, I disregarded this as being nothing too significant. Now, the machine does it reguarly after it has warmed up and I have had to devise a method to lock the Engage Lever in position, otherwise I am constantly pushing it back into "Drive".

The Dealer I purchased from is sticking to the Manufactrer's line that it is my responsibility to transport the machine to his workshop - which is a very expensive operation and rankles me because I believe the problem to be a manufacturing fault and not of my making.

Have any other Forum contributors experienced a similar problem?

Most if not all tractor manufactures warranties state that the tractor must be transported to a dealer´s location by the owner. All dealers are a little different. Some will throw in perks at the time of sale at their expense such as hats, 50 hour service or a free transport or three. Most just give you hats. You might see if your dealer will send a service tech to your home to repair it. It they will do that it is normally less expensive.
