Hi, I am a new member. I have had a TYM 353 from new, for about seven years, and I really like it. For the last two years, however, I have had a persistent problem.
I experience intermittent power loss under load or on a minor gradient. I use the unit regularly to haul a light trailer and to mow. I am retired and must use a dealership for repairs. The unit's fuel lines have been replaced several times, but shortly after its return to me it continues to die or to significantly drop revs. On this most recent attempt to repair the issue, I was told by the dealer that -- after replacing the fuel line again -- they had tested the tractor extensively with a bush hog and experienced none of the problems that I had described. Within an hour of its return from the dealer, I attempted to use it with the bush hog and had exactly the same problem as before the fuel line replacement. I shut off the PTO and drove it up a small hill and even then the revs dropped really low. When I complained to the dealership, they said they would contact TYM for help, but it's been over a week and apparently TYM has not responded.
I know it sounds like fuel, but the fuel is fresh, and the bulk tank was replaced recently. Any ideas?
