Buying Advice Bobcat CT 225

Last year I found new ballast boxes on Craigs for about $180.

Locate something similar in your neighborhood and fill it with sand. That will get you started.

I find my ballast barrel very handy with the handle tool holders, and the chains storage places, as well as a place to put my chain saw. If you build one, you can make it any way you want to do what you want. I have about $100 in mine and with the 2 inch receiver in the rear I can "stick on" other items like my sprayer.:)

Agreed. If you have the time you can make your own ballast box. You're only limited by your imagination.

I always use a box blade but a carry all with blocks, concrete or sand works well and is cheaper. Rear 3 pt forks make putting weight on as simple as picking up a pallet or anything heavy that you can get the forks under.

Got one (ballast box). It wasn't too expensive, but of course, now I've got to buy 800 lbs of sand.
I was going to pile cinder blocks on the box blade, but then I thought this would be easier.
Thx
