Use the convex side of the blade....either push the snow in reverse or, if your blade will rotate....rotate it 180 degrees...or however much angle you want. But the convex side should be in the direction of travel.

Whichever you do with that blade after scraping the asphalt keep your fingers away from the cutting edge afterwards. It will be sharp enough to shave with.

I have not been out yet but it doesn't look too bad here so far. Perhaps a foot or so and it is cold with fine light snow. My problem as usual is going to be traction for the BX using a blower.

The driveway goes down the hill and the road is a hill from the side.
Get a lot of rain/melt runoff that freezes and builds up. So underneath the snow is going to be slick ice. Being out on the road and losing traction getting back in the driveway when traffic comes along needs to be avoided.

Last week the car was in park in the driveway on a near flat section. I was out of the car spreading buckets of sand. The car slowing started to move backwards and gathered speed went off the driveway and took out a couple of bushes. One wheel got hung up on the bush roots that saved it from going over the edge and flipping. Needed to call a tow truck to get it back up and onto the driveway.

Thanks guys. I will turn the blade around. This should make the job go faster on the light snows we get here.

bliz 2015 003.jpgbliz 2015 001.jpgJust measured 27" in sudbury at 10;00 am Pretty gusty , very light .easy plowing ,easy shoveling ,Pretty hard to walk through it though ,

About a 5 yard pile came off the roof of the garage and tried to bury me , no damage though:D My wind indicator senses winds of unknown speed from the NE, Sunsetter awning is at half-mast to facilitate snow

shedding as it has been seasonally for 18 years :)

Snowmageddon Feb 2010. 38 inches on Feb5-6 and then 24 inches more on Feb 9-10. I had to fix the waterpump on my Ford 1710 in the parking pad. It was the day I decided I was getting a new tractor.

Looking out of the tackroom window.

That storm took out a 20x64' lean too shed on my farm down there in Fredrick.

Started snowing here this morning and is coming down hard now at 11:30 am with it starting to pile up . The plows are doing their best as it drifting quite bad due to all the wind . I won't go out until late this afternoon to do some clearing providing it lets up a little , if not I will wait until tomorrow . I may have to get out the big gun for this one . (Kubota M5700 W/blower and fel )

I finished my first pass on the driveway a couple hours ago, had well over a foot. Just finished shoveling the porch but a bush broom seemed to work best for that once the drifts were out of the way,
