Looking for a sturdy landscape trailer I can haul my 2610 TLB on and also the occasional load of wood. The trailer I'm considering is a BigTex 70PI 6.5x16. Brakes on both axles and the gate looks sturdy enough to support loading/unloading of the tractor. Local dealer quoted me $2895 and said he would knock $100 off that if I paid cash. He tells me there's not a lot of margin in trailers and wouldn't even take a deposit on a credit card if he was going to give me the hundred bucks off. Had to be cash or nothing. I walked out, but not sure if the price was fair. Any thoughts?
I can get a couple other brands at a dealer around 60 miles away for a little less, but once I figure in travel it's probably not worth it, plus any warranty issues would require getting the trailer back to the dealer since there's no one close to service the other brands.
