Best inexpensive tool cabinet?

Title says it all for the most part., I'm in the market for a tool cabinet to get organized.

I have a mixture of small hand tools and power tools and would love to be able to store everything in a uniform setup that saves spaces and keeps things organized.

I currently have open shelving that I'm not very good with... I need drawers and some closing door cabinets for things like worm saws or my little welder.

I've seen tool cabinets all over the place, and some seem to be of pretty decent quality for the price. Then there are built in setups too, maybe a possibility in addition to a rolling cabinet.

What tool cabinet and shop organization setup do you have and would you buy it again?

Seriously, looks on Craigslist or ebay; some old dude who died, you'll find a nice used set. Best bang for the buck.

Harbor Freight WAS the best bang for the buck, but they are trying to go upscale,

I've several images I'd like to attach but pulling them out of this new system is painful.

I have been very impressed by the Home Depot Husky brand tool cabinets. They are well priced, midgrade, with fully supported ball bearing drawers and have many different configurations and sizes. Some also have built-in power strips which I find very convenient.

I own the 46” and 52” 9 drawer versions and really like the full width top drawer!

I like the HD stuff and bought two cabinets with wood tops on sale last fall for my new reloading room. IIRC both were $550...unbeatable deal...cheaper than HF.

Most harbor freight stuff sucks, but their us general tool cabinets and rolling cabinets are top notch. I have 3 of them now. Amazing quality for the money

I completely agree with the HF....US General recommendation.
Most bang for the buck!
They always have a sale, but watch for the best one!

The new system is so easy and resizes the humongous cell phone pictures.

US General here too. Very nice ball bearing slide drawers. Upper cabinet hold hand tools, lower cabinet has larger drawers that hold smaller power tools like Dremel, drills, router. Built a shelf under 1/2 of workbench for circular saws and bulkier tools.

I garbage picked this one which I use for my portable power tools. It even has a light inside that works if I plug it in. "Free" is always good. I like the glass front, so I can see what I need and if it is there.
Gas chainsaws go on top, drills on the top shelf inside, curve cut electric saws on the middle shelf, straight cut electric saws on the lower shelf, and sanders, sand sandpaper and supporting equipment, manuals, etc in the drawers.

Good idea! It can be difficult to give old formal furniture away. We learned that after my mom passed.

I have been motivated many times during my 80 years.
Never motivated enough to get organized though.

I would pick a wall and get a HF stack or two and the rest of the wall I would load up with heavy duty kitchen bases. Get some overhead cabinets to match.
You would have a 24" work base that way to work on using a Formica top..
That would give you a place for sockets and hand wrenches etc. and a place for chainsaws and larger items.
