Never. I'll just build more hives

Guard bees stayed in the trap all night... We are on swarm watch today. Cooler temps and afternoon rain forecast.

Got another offer from a land owner to place hives on his property... He has a couple acres of DNR pollinator habitat planted. This year I'll probably need to expand there

Essentially. Lifted the box up to it, gave it one solid shake. The rest of the bees filed in when they smelled the queen in the box. I'm running out of homes for them quickly. This is a second swarm from my VSH hive. This queen is a virgin, so I'll have to watch to make sure she gets mated

And I still have 8 swarm traps up... Half of which have seen scout activity. Swarm season is still not really in full swing at the moment. Hoping to have about 12 going into winter.
