Battery powered chainsaw

Used my battery powered chainsaw last week and today to cut firewood . Probably have about a cord and a half cut so far. I used my Greenworks 60 volt with a 20 inch bar to cut the larger trees down and cut them into chunks and it worked really well and had plenty of power. The largest tree was about 18 inch and it cut it up like a knife through butter. Really impressed with it and the battery lasted longer than I did.

Stihl now offers battery powered blower/vac but only AK battery and not AP battery.

There are times a leaf vac would be helpful but not going to start a new battery series or buy gas to sit for 11 months

I have to say that my battery leaf blower is my most used tool during the summer.

Had my Kobalt battery powered chainsaw for I think 3 or 4 years now. It has even surprised me the jobs it has done. I absolutely love it. Ready to go in any temperatures, no pulling on a starter rope. Safer because it's not running until you're cutting. Lighter. No nasty fuel to carry around. And if the chain is sharp it'll go through an oak tree like a hot knife through butter.

I never had one but when I went to the AP Stihl line the shop said it’s popular and not that much to add as already have charger and batteries.

I probably use it the most of all the AP tools.

The adjectives you use to describe the support structure tells me a battery powered tool is right for you.

Wind up , if it were available might be something to consider. ;-)

I have a 24V 12" Kolbalt and amazed at what it will do.
I have taken down several good size cedar trees last one 18" where I cut it.
Batteries seem to just keep on going.

Very impressed with my 18" EGo. And since then they have introduced even more powerful saws.

The original 14"/16" EGo (same saw, different bar) were not impressive. Could chew something down but nothing like the 18".

I’m always using it to clean off the patios, porches, and sidewalks. It’s also nice to blow of the tractor and mowers after cutting.
