Well, to add to this thread, I'll add some photos of the update of the push-arm (not sure what to call it, positioning arm, stay, etc.).

The first one was a piece that came with the blade - I bent and broke it on the first root I caught while scraping down some topsoil.:(

This arm is made of Schedule 40, 1.25 inch pipe. The pin at the blade is 3/4 inch, the cross pin bushing at the pusher frame is 5/8 inch I.D. allowing a 5/8 inch pin to be used. I've been working a pile of old topsoil put in place 7 years ago by a JD650 dozer and it's relatively easy to pull apart with my little Massey!:D

I have more 1.25 inch pipe, so I'll be making the short arm for angle pushing (snow removal) and because I have a bracket on both sides (originally the shock absorber mount on the truck it came from), I can angle either way with the same arm. Meanwhile, I'll continue to dream of hydraulic controls for this attachment. :)
