Ballast Bar for Suitcase Weights...

There have been a lot of threads and posts about ballast boxes etc....
Here is my version. I have about $10 of on hand material into it.

I only bought/needed 6 suitcase weights, as my tractor front bracket only holds 5 weights....

You have $10 in other materials and I'm guessing those weights cost a penny-a-piece.

Cheapest weights I could find plus free shipping was Home Depot in this area.....
You can find weights on E-bay and such places, but many times they bid up to or over new price. Be careful.

That's a nice piece of hardware!

Looks sturdy as heck.

What is the red ororange pieceI see just below the weights, but above the drawbar?

Did I understand correctly that you got those weights from Home Despot? Online or in store?

The orange thing just under the weights and above the 3pt draw bar, is a shackle in a hole drilled into a gusset.

The orange thing in the other picture is another shackle in the stationary draw bar.....

I try to paint things that are easily lost in either orange or yellow, to make them more findable.
