I am sure this will work but I thought I might throw it out because my dealer is giving me some static on this. I have just about had enough of my Turnbuckles getting bent up using my box-blade. I want to buy a set of slide bars for a B3030 and use them on my B7800 in place of the turn buckles. Has anyone else already done this. I just want to be sure before I get in a pissing contest with my dealer

Charlie, the parts for the B2910 will fit for sure, and I am pretty sure the ones for the B3030 will too.

This is one of those questions that comes up every so often. To bad there isn't a way to have a page with a chart where owners could go to get parts numbers and look at pictures where it has been done. Like now, Charlie could really use the numbers to give to his dealer and pictures with the tractor model showing wouldn't hurt either. A data base like that for each brand would be nice.

If your dealer is up near the outlet mall, they are on my permanent **** list, I have to say.

RF morse in Wareham seem like good folk, and not that far from you.

(hope none of that violated site policies - that's why I'm not identifying the negative)

I've added the replacement for the L3400 on my wish list as well. Wish shipping to Canada and UPS fees weren't so much for stuff. :(

My in-laws are just outside of NY state but 5 hrs away from here. I'm not a huge fan of going to their place to visit but my wife wants me to go.

I could always get stuff shipped to a mailbox across the border from them - 5 min away from their house and visit them more frequently....... then again.... MAYBE NOT!

Yea that is them Charles, They wanted over $500 for the parts so I just orders another set of Turn buckles for now. I'll live with it, on a grand scale it is a mild irritation. I have to many other things to deal with these days

Timber,

For what its worth, I changed out the turnbuckles on my B7610 for the telescoping links about a year ago. I believe the lower link arm geometry and size is similar between the B7800 and B7610. Since I am always changing 3PH implements, it was one of the best upgrades I have ever made!

Paid about $130 for the telescoping parts from my dealer. Very easy change over.

Hope this helps.

Beauty of where I live is 30 minutes to the states and there is a store right on the border that accepts all packages for you for $2.00. Don't matter how big it is! I've had everything from ATV's and Gas garage heaters delivered there and everything on e-bay. It's pretty sweet!!!

I changed mine a few years ago. All together the parts were under $150. I figure that I would have spent that replacing turnbuckes by now.

Timber - I've been very happy with my dealer, Chappell Tractor in Milford, NH. They will UPS you the parts. It's a 2 hour round trip so I often have them ship me stuff.

How did you bend the turnbuckles while using a box blade?

I'm getting a new box blade for my BX in a few weeks and would like to avoid bending mine!! FWIW, I've used a back blade on the BX a number of times with no problems.

That's what I do as well as I live just outside a border town-Ontario/Michigan. I do a lot of web shopping as I have limited selection where I live.

I go "across the river" every week or so and fill up my truck as well as my gas and diesel containers. It only costs $4 round-trip to go across the bridge and now they have web cams that show the traffic flow so you don't have to waste time in-line.
