Hello Everyone,

My first post here is to ask a question regarding my B7510. I took delivery of it in July of 2004. Right away, I noticed that the steering felt 'choppy' when I run that tractor in high range. It sorta feels like the the power steering works intermittently. I called the dealer then, and they said to run it until next season, and bring it in next year if it does not stop.

Well, here we are in May, so I took it in. Dealer calls and says it is normal, and his stock 7610 does the same thing.

Anyone else notice this?

Thanks!

My 7610 does it. I haven't worried about it but am watching it and paying attention to any changes or adverse effects.

No such behavior from my new 7610 and, personally, I wouldn't consider it 'normal' either. I use one-finger to spin mine, smooth as butter.

Check the fluid in the front axle. A plug by the left front tire (muffler/filter side).

I've felt things like that and the fluid was low.

I had a B7500 and if I was working it hard in high gear the steering would chop.

Here's a follow up on the steering issue-I had a hard time convincing the technician that there was a problem. It turns out that he was not running it long enough for it to warm up.

The problem is a bad hydro pump. As the tractor warmed up, the hyrdo flow got restricted. A call to Kubota and a new pump is on the way.

Doesn't it make you feel better when everyone says you are crazy and the doctor says, "No, you are not crazy"?

Glad you found the problem and Kubota is making it right!

glad you got the dealer to find the problem. I won't hijack you thread, but mine is still in the shop 2 weeks this month, with a recurring dead battery.
regards,
Steve
