B3030 Rear Remotes

Gary,

I have the rear remote (x2) kit installed on my B3030. The PB off the FEL is for an open circuit such as the BH. The rear remotes take off on the right side rear of the tractor. The biggest problem I have is the second set of remotes are very difficult to connect and disconnect. Kubota uses a push to connect and pull to disconnect.

The problem is more so with the lower set of remotes, the hydraulic lines are so short and so close together that they do not have the room to move back and forth to allow connecting and disconnecting.

I spent considerable time finding a hydraulic line routing solution but ended up having to angle the mount for the second remote in order to get the freedom of movement for the hydraulic lines.

A picture is worth a thousand words and if you find the same issue I did I would be happy to post a picture. On the other hand, if you find a solution, please post your rear remote mounting solution.

Bob, did you see what I used for a mounting set up? These are available in double or single clamps.

I have a B3030 with Kub remotes; they ARE close together and very buggery to get off (push on, ok; pull off, not). SO, I open a vise grip wide and use the housing as a fulcrum; they pop off easily. Just have to remember to fiddle the lever to release the pressure in the hoses. No damage done using this method.

Have any of you considered using these break away couplers. Lever or break away couplers.

You guys that have trouble getting your push-pull remotes disconnected, do you push in and then pull out all in one quick motion? They usually come out pretty easy when removed in that manor.

I received a call today from the dealer that my remote kits are in. I probably will not get over there to pick them up till tomorrow though.

Please take a bunch of pictures and post then when you install. I would already have my remotes on my B3030, sep'n my local dealer doesn't want my money. When I find a Kubota dealer that does want my money, I intend to install both factory remotes also.

Yes, push in pull out... no go. The break away kit looks good, but expensive. What kind of dealer is that, dosen't want your money? How does he stay in business? Or is he just incompetent technically?

My dealer says Kubota does not have a remote kit for either the front or rear for my BX25. But he does not believe in them personally and is trying to discourage me from modifying the factory set up. Says I can do what I want after the warranty expires next year, just do not bring it back to him for service. Most of their compact tractor business is to gentlemen farmers or?? who drag their tractor back to his shop for even oil changes and lube on the BH and FEL. They are located in a semi urban area so it is a pain in the *** to have them service anything. Real farm dealers/shops are 50+ miles away any direction I go. He has probably seen his share screw-ups he has to fix. I cannot be down for the average 2-3 weeks they would have it for even a minor problem. They have only one mechanic and he works on all their small stuff too.

Ductape, will do. I picked up the kit yesterday and it looks really nice. It might be a couple of weeks till I get time to install it. I also received the my Pats quick change yesterday so I will get that installed this weekend so I can get the top link length to Brian at Fit Right Hydraulics for the top and sid link kit.

This is how I had to angle the second remote block in order to get the push/pull connect operation to function. This angle took the downward pressure the hydraulic hoses were putting on the quick connects preventing them from sliding back and forth in the block.

I spent a lot of time playing with the hydraulic hosing routing with no luck but this block alignment allowed it to work. I welcome any other ideas...
