B3030 delivery date?

Does someone know when B3030 will be delivered to dealers?

I'm still waiting to see a real one to pull the trigger. My dealer got a B2630 last week but no B3030. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif The B2630 was in a crate... /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif doesn't look like a tractor, that's for sure.

He told me the first two was supposed to be there last friday (April 1st). I called him today and last news are: He doesn't know exactly when but it will be soon.

I was at my dealer over the weekend, he already has B3030's parked on his lot. I took pictures of them that I intend on posting here on TBN later this week. I love the new look, the dash layout is great, the curved hood is a modest improvement in forward visibility. You'll love it.

Here's a $2.00 must have for B series owners. I ordered this from mcmaster-carr. I didnt like the cumbersome deck pins that came with the tractor.

Is that the 72" drive-over mower? Have you taken it off yet? How well does that work?

I'm a total newbie, but I also have a B3030 coming. Are those the pins for the mower deck? And how are they better than the ones that come with the tractor?

The delivery dates on the B3030’s seem to be very dealer dependent. In my area a big multi-state, multi-lot dealer told me I could not get one from him until June, when the smaller dealer down the road had them sitting on the lot. Go figure!! I ended up buying a B7800 because I could not justify the price difference.

Yes those pins are for a 72" mower deck. No I havent tried removing the deck yet. And why are these pins beter than what comes with the tractor. What comes with the tractor has to be inserted from behind the view in the picture. It also comes with a retaing ring that looks like a key chain ring. If you have big hands you will find reaching in the back to insert the pin and trying to fish the keychain ring through the hole a real pain! I think the 60" deck has the same pins but instead of keychaing rings you get hair pins to retain the pin. What I have pictured is a 1 hand operation and your not trying to fish a pin through a hole you cant see. Well worth the $2.00 The pin Is 1/2 inch dia. with a working lenght of 1.3 " Mcmaster-carr cat. # 98485a495

I just searched the McMaster-Carr web site for part #8485A495 and the search returned a 98485A495 pin which it says is equal, but this pin has a working length of 1.5" instead of 1.3". Could this be a problem? I noticed that there is a part #97320A168 listed which is 1/2" dia and 1.3" working length. Same thing?

I ordered 1.3" it works fine. If I was to order new ones I would go with 1.5. Just a little extra lenght wont hurt. The diffence in the part #'s you listed might be the shoulder. The 98485A168 1.3" working length is the part # I ordered. It does have the shoulder. 98485A495 is the 1.5 working length
