B2920 HST Creaking Sound

This is a by-pass valve , hence the variation of conditions ( if at all )
that it occurs under. It doesn't surprise me that many don't have
this , and Dealers aren't bothered. There's no way that Kubota don't
know about this , but car manufacturers are no better in their game either.

Well i need to make a vid of my B so that you can hear it. When my tractor is warming up there is a buzzing almost sounds like a bypass coming from the engine. I was poking around and feeling with my hands before the motor got to hot. I laid a palm on the oil filter and wow you could feel the frequecy the most on that side of the engine...I checked the said drive shaft covers ect but I think my problem is a little different seeing as my noise is taking place under a warm up condition. ill have to take all the side covers off and try it again. Any ones thoughts on this? Maybe oil filter bypassing of a a releif buzzing?

Mine (B2910) buzzes as well (and possibly not only during warm up) .... but from what I can tell it's just sheet metal ....

Well I have an update on my current noise on my B2320. Here is the test I preformed. I removed all sheet metal from the front end. Start the tractor and set rpm it low idle. The engine oil filter is where the noise is coming from. When you place your hand on the back of the filter you can feel the vibration intensly. it comes and goes almost like the filter is bypassing maybe>? The nosie comes and goes sometimes is makes the nosie for 5 sec. sometimes 20sec. The noise will also happen when the RPM is set higher however the noise level stays the same plusing on and of sparadicly.

The current fill is Kubota 15w40 and a Kubota branded filter.
The outside temp. was arox. 50F when I started the tractor.

My question should I try a diffrent oil maybe a 5w40 rotella? (Thinner for cold starts)
My other thought is could it be the strainer cloged in the oil pan?

Once the tractor warms up for a good while the noise goes away.

I'm just bumping this thread to see if anyone has discovered what this noise is really caused by. I just did the 50 hr service including changing the hydraulic fluid and that didn't change the noise I hear. I do believe it's the HST pressure relief (bypass valve) set too low but was wondering if anyone could confirm that?

Sorry but all I hear is a tractor running in the video. I don't think mine makes that noise but I only have 31 hrs so far if it did ever make an odd noise I probably wouldn't notice it, unless it was so severe I thought it was going to blow, probably comes from riding Shovelhead Harley's for so many years and learning to ignore all the odd noises..

If the ROPS is rattling I believe that screws sized: M10 1.25 pitch metric thread will fit in the molded in nuts near the joint in the folding portion. You can snug them up gently and it prevents a ROPS vibration and noise. There's a thread on here on how to do that with the BH handles as well, which also make a ton of noise.

It's definitely not the ROPS on my B2320. I hear it mostly with the engine rpms up around 2000 rpm and I put some load on the HST like going uphill. I would think the engine would bog down before the pressure relief would start chattering but it barely does if at all.

Certain harmonic frequencies (vibrations) will make things buzz and rattle at different rpm's and loads can effect this exactly as you are describing.
