You got that right. 99% of the reason I got it was to lift logs. I'm sure I will find a hundred other uses, but log lifting was the reason for the purchase. :thumbsup:

I ordered solar panels today, as well as an inverter, charge controller, and batteries. I have too many projects going on at the same time. I need to retire so I have more time. But then I won't have enough money. :laughing:

Next thing on the agenda is my stem wall foundation. It needs to be 32 X 32 and go down 3 feet for frost line. A couple locals are trying to talk me into doing a block wall and fill with rebar and concrete, but I really want a poured wall. In fact I would prefer it to be 10 inches or even 12 inches wide even though the plans call for 8.
Then I'm at least 2 hours from the nearest batch plant, so I'm wondering about mixing on site and doing it over several days. I know they can put in retarder to make it last in the delivery truck time, but I also heard that the retarder tends to eat rebar. Any major problems with multiple cold joints?

Are there any mobile batch companies around? Their trucks mix the concrete at the site and you only have to pay for what you need.
