Huge size difference between a GC and a 2800E. Both are great tractors - your going to need a bigger trailer:)
I don’t have a trailer haha. It’s on the list. The local dealer had the 2800‘s 1800’s and 1700’s there and yeah it’s a big difference for sure. I just can’t make up my mind on the hoe. I keep thinking I’d regret it if I didn’t get it.

Here's what I'll say about a backhoe on a tractor. If you can sit there and write out at least 2 or 3 things that you think you would repeatedly use it for over the next couple of years, get it! Examples: you have a lot of small trees to take out and you plan to do it over a long period of time or you plan to plant a lot of trees or digging lots of rocks out of the ground.

But, if you only have a couple jobs that you think you'll use it for but the rest of the time it hangs off the back and is a PITA to get off and on when you want to use 3pt. don't get. Rent a true excavator.

Just my opinion. I've owned tractors for several years and have never felt I needed one. But, your needs are not my needs.

Honestly most of my use will probably be to move logs. I cut log length and make firewood. I don’t use my current hoe all the time for this but when stuff is jumbled up or there are really big rounds it’s pretty awesome to have it. I don’t have a bunch of digging jobs to repeatedly do. I used it to till the garden a couple years ago haha.

That's sounds like a grapple for your loader bucket need.
