If you have a problem with one website you don't reinstall the operating system.
That is what happens now when the pictures are too large. They changed something and didn't tell us.Often TBN pages are painfully slow to load, yet a speed test seems to indicate a reasonable connection. Is this the site, or something inbetween?
Lately, I cannot upload pics from my pc. Everything seems to show normal progress, but in the end, nothing. No error message either.
Geez sixdogs hopefully you can keep up with Harbor Freight tools threads now!![]()

Actually, there are no NEW XP updates. You can still download existing ones. No, of course not! You take it outside and use it for target practice!
Actually, I did practically go that berserk, shutting down applications (despite the warnings) when I was having issues. Now with no more XP support, I can't fix the damage I did and my original XP disk is of no use since it has no updates!
You would install from your old CD, then run Windows Update to update things. I would manually download Service Pack 3 and install it, then run Windows Update.

An old timer pc tech person might have everything you need on CD and/or USB stick. Great advice on installing SP3 before running Windows Update. Windows update has a tendency to download the service packs from 1st to last. The last time I re-installed Win7 there were something like 196 updates. Would think XP would be similar with lots of updates to be downloaded.
The reason is that Windows Update for XP only supports SP3 and higher.

Hang in there... I'm sure the moderators have you mixed up with someone else a little more nefarious. This is getting weird. Sometimes I can get on sometimes I can't, sometimes I can post, sometimes I can't. Sometimes I go through all the effort to respond to a post only to not be able to post it. Sometimes I get a half a page yet a post will run the width of a whole page. Generally, I can get on only about 20% of the time.
I'm kidding. Sorry. The moderators have nothing to do with it.![]()
