This was another driveway that was not cleared for over a month. 2 companies with pick up trucks tried and gave up. Entrance to the drive was 40" of packed snow from the county plow trucks. 225 feet long, 12 feet wide with a side load garage took 12 minutes.

Very cool. Does yours have the poly/urethane/plastic rear blade edge, or steel?

I burned up the standard steel edge in the first 12 or so events, then had a Hardox steel edge made. I have used up almost half of the Hardox edge now. We have been out close to 35 times so far this year. I don't run any shoes at all. I want it to scrape as well as possible because I maintain a few miles of roads in a subdivision, so vehicle traffic is always packing the snow.

I looked into using the Tivar 88 edge, but they don't scrape very well.

The first pass did you need to keep the blower up part way? And how much weight do you have on the front end?

Wow, that's some serious wear!

No weight on the machine at all. And no, I didn't keep the blower off the ground. Just pick the right gear, maybe lock the differential, and let her eat!

I am pretty happy with how the Hardox edge is wearing. The steel edge did what I expected..... wear out quickly.

I think I put on about 8-10 miles per day of blowing roads open. Then I pick up about 40 driveways and finish up helping my partner a my church, where I blow the roads and driveways open.

I have to say this about rear pull blower's,
if your tractor can't drive through the snow your going to blow,
then get a rear push.

Have used pull type snow blowers on the farm since the 60's. Works very well as long as there is more snow than the that tractor manage to run in. If you buy V type so make sure it is straight walls on it and not curved as there is a huge difference in how wet snow it manages.
Now I have one two stage snow blower that can be pulled or reversed, it has perforated wear steel on it so there is no problem with the wheels of the tractor packs the snow before going into the snowblower. Pull type or front mounted snow blower is the most common over Norway, has been involved in a few that can be reversed or pulled simultaneously without re connect tractor
