antique hay rake

I have found an old hay rake that I plan on picking up this weekend. I have attached a photo to give you an idea of what I've found. The preliminary idea ( may change after I get your input ) is to take my JD 3320 on my trailer and my friend pull a 16ft. trailer to the rakes location. Question is: will my tractor be able to lift the rake? I don't know what they weigh.

I bought a rake like this maybe 20 years ago. I used a 16' trailer to transport it. After placing the trailer behind the rake, I and two others manually lifted the rake onto the trailer, over the side rails. Done deal. It's not that heavy, so if you choose to lift it with the loader, I'd say you're good to go.

About 10 years ago I picked one up at auction... couple of us picked it up and put it in my pickup 8' bed... no issues at all... not that heavy.

Got it picked up today, very light weight but I am glad I took my tractor because it was needed to get a pile of scrap metal out of the way. The rake itself is a little over 12ft. wide, and a friend and I just rolled it onto a trailer.

Are you using this rake? It looks to be in good condition.

I have two of those horse drawn dump rakes. Some people paint them up and use them for lawn ornaments. Do you have draft horses?
