Another use for the \'Bota

I have a boat that is over 90" tall when sitting on the trailer behind my truck. The garage door is but 82". Well, if you install a 2" hitch on the 3pt you can pick up the trailer, release the front jack wheel on the trailer, and then lower it down so that the trailer tongue is but a fraction of an inch from the floor of the garage and back that puppy in with almost a whole inch to spare. Once into the garage and clear of the door opening you can raise the hitch back up and reset the trailer jack......saved a bunch of money in that I didn't have to buy one of those pop up shelter things and to top it off, I get more seat time! sounds like a win/win!

Here's a pic of what I built to move my trailers. I welded it up from scrap I had, plus I had an unused receiver and ball. I found that if I curl the bucket up, I can see the ball over the top of the bucket. Makes it easy to hook up. I snatch the hitch, then uncurl to level, and move either my boat trailer or utility trailer.

It really is easy to see what I'm doing; I only have an inch per side for the utility trailer to clear getting into the backyard.

When I need to move dirt, I simply take the receiver out and the plate doesn't interfere.
