I've been pricing out RM snowblowers in my area.So far the best price I've been able to come up with is 1,845.00 for a Puma 72" hydraulic chute from a dealer in NH.I need that width to cover my wheel tracks.I went to Puma's website and they seem to be a decent blower made in Canada. My question is to anyone who has a Puma, how satisfied have you been with it and how has it held up.Having a gravel driveway I need something that can hold up to the occational rock or two.

Looking for one myself. Seems most dealers have Pumas or Meteors. Don't like the Meteors. Also, Someone here(or Tractorpoint) was advertising really cheap blowers. They were out of VT, but I believe the price was 1600 for a 6 footer.

Yeah I've seen the add in the classified board.Doesn't mention the brand and I'm sure the price doesn't include the hydraulic chute. You figure in the chute and tax and I think Berlin VT. is up there a ways and the price probabily isn't all that much better in the end.

I have a 5ft rm blower and I have a blade that I put on my fel. I can then push the snow into rows and then I blow it out of the way. It's alot faster that way and also it being smaller than my wheel track isn't a problem. I got the 5 ft because It was a bargain. 250 bucks almost new couldn't pass it up even if it is a ford and blue. Oh well I guess I can always paint it Century red /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

mgrick,

I have a Puma 54 inch unit for one season now and it worked great moving 24 inches of wet snow this past winter. Got it in May 02 paid $1000 for a new unit. Its JD green on my Kubota BX2200, but for the $1000 it was worth it, I think they go for $1200-1300.

Good luck

I believe the dealer in the classifieds from VT is Walts Equipment from Berlin and the snowblowers he has are JRW brand from Canada which according to their web site used to be BWM.
