If something goes wrong with a third party purchase on Amazon, they will not support you in getting a resolution on your order. I ordered an expensive piece of exercise equipment on December 11, and never received it. I got jerked around by Amazon customer service, and the issue never got resolved.

The true mettle of a good company is how they respond when something goes wrong.

Amazon will not support you if that happens.

Every package I get from them has a tracking number, and I can watch its progress from shipping, distribution, and delivery. Your package didn't just vanish. Where is it?

if you used a credit card, simply cancel the transaction with the card company. ive had to do this a number of times, and they have always repaid my account.

I use Amazon so often, the neighbors think the delivery guy and I must have a "thing going on"! So far, I have had no issues.

Maybe your item is just delayed, due to the pre-holiday weather, that backed up so many deliveries.

We order from Amazon quite often...so far, no problems with deliveries.
We have had some defective items, but that type of problem was resolved quickly...to our satisfaction.

Like others, I use Amazon frequently and seldom have any issues with the products or delivery. I did order two cans of spider spray last summer which were not packaged correctly and sprayed the product all over the inside of the box. I contact Amazon customer service and they expedited a replacement shipment to me which arrived two days later. Overall, excellent service in my experience.

I use Amazon very frequently. In the rare occasion that there has been a problem, it's always been handled agressively on their part. Even third-party transactions are paid through Amazon's checkout system. They should take care of it for you, unless there's a part of the story we're not getting...

Wasn't being shipped direct from China was it? I see a lot of that on there lately.

Usually says 3-4 weeks shipping! :eek:

I also use amazon a lot. Domestic shipping for me has been mostly FedEx or USPS.

Thanks for the heads up.... I can't say whether or not I have made third party purchase or not but I have bought a lot of stuff there.

I think Amazon is great, much better than the alternative.
Perhaps the drone got shot down, Did it look like a goose?

The drone must have passed over some pallets in NJ?

I order from amazon almost daily, never had any major problem. I did get something the other day that was not the brand advertised, still debating rather to send it back.

the wife uses amazon pretty exclusively. since it got so big.. we rarely look on ebay for anything.. etc..

no real problems. have had an occasional day or 2 late.. or small issues. one damaged package that the vendor fixed without contacting amazon..e tc.

I've been using Amazon since it started.. I've had a few problems over the years with third party vendors, mostly receiving damaged goods or the wrong item.. Now I only buy things that qualify for Prime, since returns are super easy and usually at no cost..

Ditto PRF. If it isn't prime, I generally don't buy. Never a hassle with prime purchases.

I had a third party vendor send me a wrong DVD, I protested to Amazon after vendor questioned my integrity, vendor got mad, but sent me the correct DVD anyway and told me to keep the wrong one. Amazon in the meantime refunded my money. It pi$$ed me off, but in the end I came out whole.

Mark me in the "I love Amazon" camp. Prime member here. We bought 75% of this years' Christmas with them. We have never had a problem...but we only buy those items that are Prime (free 2nd day delivery).

It's pretty cool...I can do my shopping on my iPhone on Saturday night laying in bed, and my order arrives Tuesday around noon. Sure beats going to the mall! Plus as a prime member we can watch a free movies from their streaming service to boot!
