I'm not sure which lengthy story about nothing you were quoting. Do you have a link to the story? Thanks.

I was talking about the story you posted. I read nothing in that story that was earth shattering. The best part was her ability to use the English language to instill intrigue and spike curiosity. But then, I guess that's the intent of any writer.

What was your point in linking to it?

Being a reporter is akin to being a weather person. You can say anything you want with no accountability. For example, the second paragraph of the lengthy story about nothing.

The people familiar with the plan spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss it before an announcement expected Thursday.

Not true. Reporters at newspapers, AP, etc.. have to be accurate to avoid libel because they are reporting the story as fact. Whereas internet bloggers and opinion writers can pretty much say whatever they want, because its opinion, not accountable facts.

I was expecting a link to the story you quoted in bold.

I didn't lose you, you did.

I responded to the story you linked. If you read it, you saw the second paragraph that I quoted in bold print as a reference to support my point.

Then you responded defending AP reporters as always being accurate.

Since you were confused I was going to relink that story. But it's gone already. They've moved on to Session's announcement. :)

Moss, if you read the current "AP newsbreak" attached to your link you will see that this AP reporter is so lazy she squeezed two stories out of one. She simply added 3 or 4 short paragraphs to the original story and reposted it as a new "newsbreak"......

BTW, I read the AP link after /Pine posted it...

A lot of folks in the government and the criminal world made a lot of money from prohibition. The war on drugs is just prohibition part 2. And now we have the added money of big pharma trying to keep mj illegal because they are losing money in those states.

I have no problem with drunks drinking and killing themselves or addicts smoking or ingesting anything they like.......as long as I don’t have to clean up after them.

What bothers me the most about the current status of pot is the fact that here in the United States of America...The EXACT same thing that you can legally buy and consume in one state can get you life in prison in another...it just ain't right IMO...and something definitive needs to be done about it...

Well the Federal government has stated a position that it is an illegal substance.

Now, what do some States have to say about Federal enforcement of that position? Hmmmm.................

So when is somebody going to invent a dooby that don't have to be rolled like a white turd and is tight like a cigarette, maybe even with filters? :confused2:

Well it just shows how lacking the previous administration was in leadership...it was literally non existent...

Moss, you are correct, I'm very sorry, for some reason I thought you posted that link, it was Pine. Sorry.

Enforcement and Leadership are two different things. I believe the past administration went laissez-faire on the issue strictly from a cost perspective.

SHE is a GUY named Jeremy.

When Pine first posted it, the author was a female.

More fodder for the crap we call news media.

The latter story link that Pine posted was a reuse of the original story with subtle changes.

I have this vision of all these people frantically pecking away at their computers, copy/pasting everything they can find, trying to have a credible edge. While we are the meek sheep being led to the delusion called "honest media".

Nothing reported by AP media regarding the legalization of MJ in this country will result in any change. Tomorrow we'll have the same legal confusion that we have today. But the people slinging this hash will get their pay check. :(

Sorry I disagree...We rely on elected leaders to provide leadership...not philosophical decrees...

I think my next admission has extended beyond the Statue of Limitations,,,, so here goes..... 40 years ago I had a roller that would produce a dooby that you would struggle to tell from factory rolled. Had the option of adding a filter if the user so chose. First time I saw one used was on a Merchant Marine ship in Vietnam. Some of the crew carried Marlboro hard packs in their shirt pocket with a mix of Marlboro and dooby.

I rather believe it was a method of paying those in society that might have done the administration previous favors.
