Tires air in front tires

Are they new. Seating pressure is about 35psi. I like to run the fronts at 15-22 psi depending on the tractor.

Is the max inflation pressure shown on the sidewall? If it is a 7 - 16 with 6 ply rating the pressure would be 36 psi. The spec sheet says 7.2 - 16 but I don't find that size in Bridgestone - Firestone or Titan - Goodyear books.

I have 7.2 - 16 Goodyear front tires on my L3010. Manual says 22 psi. Loader manual says to increase to 26 psi with loader.

Tires are designed to carry a full foot print on the ground. This does change depending on load so if you have a loader and enjoy carrying large loads you will need more air pressure then if you don't have a loader and might be using the three point to carry loads.
The pressure makes a big difference as far as ride as well so it is important not to over inflate same as having the tires filled.

After you determine your tire size this is what the tractor and loader manuals calls for.
According to this chart 40psi is too much but to confirm that your tire should have a max tire pressure rating.
I have the r4 tires on my 3800 but from what I've heard the r1 tires are a softer tire so maybe your dealer airs the front tires
up with a little extra psi when leaving with a loader. The manual doesn't support that assumption tho.

front tires sizes
5.00-15 4pr =32psi
7-16,6pr=26psi
23x8.50-12 4pr=23psi
25x8.50-14 6pr=23psi
27x8.50-15 6pr=30psi

rear tire sizes
11.2-24 4pr=14psi
13.6-16 4pr=14psi
15-19.5 6pr=30psi

the best an safest thing todo about tire pressure is look in your tractor manual ango from there.

For our combines (very large R-1 tires) the Tire & Rim Association permits overinflation for transport. The industry standard actually says for any of this type tire - R-1, R-2-0, R-3, & R-4. Reduces amount that tires deflect as the trailer goes over bumps. Our tires with 20 psi operating pressure were inflated to 35 psi for shipping with dealer pre-delivery instructions to drop to the specified pressure. This is also a possiblity for a higher than expected pressure.

I put that much in mine because I got tired of having to reseat the tire because it rolled off the rim using the FEL.

Never heard of that before. I've heard of tire blowing out while using the FEL.

If you have a front end loader, run the maximum allowed pressure for the tire as noted on the sidewall or in the loader manual. I made the mistake of running 26 psi in my R1 Ags on my L3400, which is what the manual calls for except in the small print where it says to increase to 36 psi if using a loader.... ruined 2 tires.

Wow. I have seen them welts like that on rear tires but not fronts.

Yeah.. the air got between the sidewall and the inner carcass, they were becoming delaminated. As soon as the air was out of the tire, the bulges slowly went away. I could have probably simply tubed them and they would have been OK, but Carlisle offered to replace them instead. I tubed the new ones just in case.

I tube all my tires. It helps keep the calcium off the rims too. And I don't have to worry about the valve hole rotting and not sealing up correctly. Tubes and tractor tires go hand and hand.

If you are using the loader put what the manual says to run in them. If you are doing a job that does no require the loader like mowing you can air them down for a better footprint.
