Advice required please pto problem

Hi all I have a new holland 5635 75hp aprox 35 years old only done 1900 hours
The problem I have is when using the pto the gear selector keeps sipping out knocking pto off
This happens when using small tedder,sprayer etc

Do you mean the pro is turning off, or that the pro shaft from the implement is physically becoming detached from the tractor?

Is the gear selector a manual selector? Could be the linkage if it is. I'm no pro but thought I'd ask.

The pto keeps disengageing so you have to stop clutch put back in gear and start over again

You're not giving us a lot to go on.

If a lever is physically moving, there may be some part of the linkage that's worn or out of adjustment and tying it off with a shock cord or strap could help diagnose that.

If a lever is not physically moving, you may have issues inside the transmission.
