adjusting brush hog

Freds, you may be overtightening them. Yes, with the pins turned inward the "pull" of the 3 -point lower arms will be on the clevis pins. No--I have never bent them despite heavy work on my Boxblade which I did the same way. I have seen them done this way even in some implement brochures and my Kubota dealer says they do it all the time. I think the outer position would be the prefered one but turning them inward is entirely acceptable and will not cause you any problems. J

The dealer told me to adjust mowers and hogs so that when you push on the side of them the tractor moves. I turn the turnbuckle on the check chain by hand to adjust.
I put the mower back on today and the pins were fine even though I had to give the 3 pt. a kick to break things loose after I had loosened thing up. I suppose you _could_ bend a pin, just wondered if you ever saw it happen.
Thanks,

Fred

I doubt you will bend a clevis if it is the large size intended for that pin. J
