About to purchase a LT1042...

I'm about to make a new purchase from the dealer,

Cub Cadet LT1042 20hp w/ 42" deck $1679.00
Bagger unit $329.00
A 5x8' trailer to haul it on $590.00
Plus 6% Tax
Total $2753.88

I'm getting it as a package deal for $2500.00

Does this sound good?

to me, would depend on quality/features of offered trailer - such as tailgate, bed, running lights, load capacity, tie-downs, etc.

The trailer is a 5x8, 2" angle, tilt bed with side rails, A' frame tong much like the typical "Landscape/ mowing" trailers. I have no problem with it as a tilt bed but I do plan to fabricate and install a drop gate.

might look at the 5 x 8 trailer that Harbor Freight peddles.. about $400 - has fold-up rear tailgate plus other stuff...
