Chains 955 JD compact chains

Anyone have a JD 955 (or 970) with the standard turf tires that they chain up for winter. I bought mine new 15 years ago and got a set of chains for it. But when I looked at the rear wheel clearance (top of tire to the fender) it didn't look like there was much room for them. I'd like to put them on for this winter if possible. Its got to make plowing a bit easier. Just not sure if I'm wasting my time, or if it's even possible ....or wise with the close clearance.

A set of wheel spacers would fix ya up.

I'm not sure how that would solve the problem. The concern is that there is only about 2" of clearance between the top of tire height and the bottom of the fender flare. I'll take a pic and try and post it later. But thanks

Take a look at how your fenders mount. Seems to me, you may be able to move the fenders vertically.
Do you have enough room between the tire's inner sidewall and the fender?

BTW, the 955 and 970 tractors aren't too similar...which one do you have? Per the thread title, a 955?
