Would a 84” ssqa snow blade turned 30 degrees be as wide or wider than a tractor that has a 72” wide tire track?
So you basically turned it into a snowpusher?I run a 7' ssqa plow on my 72" wide tractor. I rarely angle it at 30 degrees because wet snow starts to push the front end around, and it rolls snow fine at a much less angle.
I recently added side plates on the plow, so this season I don't angle it at all except around turns and to square up to a pile.
So you basically turned it into a snowpusher?
Thanks for this info. I have a line on a 7’ for a good price, but have been debating about going with 8’. For only 3 “ more per side the 7’ seems like the way to go for the price.Adding to the above - if I put an 8 footer on there it would give me less than 3" more on each side when angled. I don't think that is enough to make any difference at all.
